after running my car on vag-com i noticed that my car boosted at a peak of 1.7 bar which is frighteningly high for a standard turbo on a tdi 110 sport

how can i turn the boost down

as far as im aware the car is completely standard
 
I would think if he was able to log for boost on vagcom, he'd be able to scan for faults so the N75 would be flagged up?
What block are you measuring for boost? Would like to check mine, but never had the patience to find the correct block by plugging it in and going through them all.
 
That is very high indeed. Mine spikes at 1.9 bar and settles at 1.7ish. Thats a cupra tdi so summit not right.
 
Doesn't vagcom measure absolute pressure hence you need to minus atmospheric pressure of 1 Bar hence 0.7 bar actual boost. Maybe wrong but sure I read that somewhere.

Yes, you are correct. When you measure boost with VAG-COM, you should first take a look at the atmospheric pressure (around 990mbar). If VAG-COM shows 1700mbar, then the actual turbo pressure is around 700mbar (0.7 bar).

Normal pressure for a non-chipped 110 TDi is around 0.9 bar sustained.
