How did Seat manage to make a 21kg saving with the 1215kg Cupra 1.9 TDi, over the 1236kg 1.9 TDi FR?

The old sport tdi is about the same iirc!

Defo under 1200kg, the SEAT site is wrong, the brochure and what car magazine is correct

Just found an old 04 brochure, fr 130 weighs 1180kg and Cupra 160 weighs 1215kg, so no difference

Cupra has thicker ARB,standard climate control,bigger brakes,...
All that's stuff makes the car a little heavier

The FR has climate control as standard. But yes, thicker arb, brakes, might even be slightly bigger alloys.
