Right just re-done the bypass and re-fitted the gauge...From 1st till 5krpm its hitting just over 1bar on my guage....2nd gear i have to change at 1bar at about 3krpm anymore over 1bar and it got in to gimp mode...The DV is prober loud now and the car is ace to drive with that maf changed..

I did see the gauge spike a 1.2bar just past one bar..And on idle it shows -7vac which is normal isnt it?

1st and 2nd gear i can take near the redline about 5krpm after that the boost cuts...

Feels prober rapid tho :)

try logging requested boost versus actual boost... would be interesting to see what ur ecu is requesting

post up graphs of the boost

Seems to be spiking at 1.2 in 1st & 2nd at 3krpm then goes in to limp mode..which is around 17psi...then tails off...

then in 3rd at 3krpm it hit 1bar then goes limp..

Il do that log and see what it comes up with

i think things could be pointing to a map issue... as its boosting as high as it is before limp mode it obviously isnt standard

and the ecu fault could be explained here:

i think a standard ecu would be the best test with this issue with the information and the solutions attempted

try not to let this get u down too much danny... u will get this resolved eventually... i went through a similar hell when i got mine... couldnt slove the problem for ages... tried everything... everyone ran out of ideas... i considered selling my cupra

got it sorted tho and i have enjoyed every second of driving since!!

I know just that boxes of matches on the fireplace look even more promising..
It has to be the map...

But theres no way of telling if its been messed with is there?Or i borrow adams revo stage 1 :) lol only messin..

Can i not get the ecu re-flashed>

I thought it was standard...I have no idea..

if u took it to somewhere that does remaps... they might be able to tell if its their software on it... but seeing as there are several different tuners... it would be pot luck

trying someone elses ecu is the best bet i think

u could always check the log book and try and get in contact with the previous owners?!? probably the last owner as i cant imagine that the car has been basically undriveable for long

Tbh the last lad who had it put a BMW maf on it...So he noes **** all...And was preety clueless..Im tryin to find out whos got a standard cupra... And i only now one person bigric but he dont come on here no more...

And adam is revo so cant/wont use that...

Can anywere that does maps re-flash it

yeh, i think anywhere should be able to reflash it... if u didnt want a performance map im sure they could flash a standard one on there... but im not sure of the cost... they might just charge labour... just try calling around

and as for the previous owner... a true mug by the sounds of his mods... and the map on urs might not even be a reputable company as there is software available to adjust the perameters of the ecu and even write ur own map on the ecu... and if u dont know what ur doing... its bound to cause problems

or... i just thought... if u get a revo free trial... i think that when it reverts back to standard it isnt actually the original map on ur car... its a revo standard (exactly the same as a standard map)

might be worth getting the free trial... it might sort it... id explain the problem to the tuner before hand tho and see what they say

ive heard the CC remaps are really good ... im sure u wont be dissapointed!

let us know how u get on... i know how frustrating it is when the car isnt running properly
