Copied from the ross tech site saved me typing it out.
Turn the key on but do not start the car.
[Select]
[01 - Engine]
[Measuring Blocks - 08]
Enter Group 060
[Go!]
[Switch to basic settings]
Once you do this you will see the top right display say ADP RUN. The TB adaptation is being done as soon as you switch to basic settings. You will see the values change and hear the TB cycle for the first few seconds then it will stop. Leave it in Basic Settings for about 30 seconds.
[Switch to Meas. Blocks] button and you're all set.
Be sure not to touch the accelerator and make sure the engine is NOT running when you do this!
What it fails to mention is that the engine has to be stone cold when you do this
Right ive went to GSF this morning and got a bosch maf for 91quid...As you can tell my maf was different anway they wouldnt take it back..
So i explained the syptoms i was gettin and he put the Number of my old maf on to there data base...Well what do you know Its defo the wrong maf as its of a BMW....
Its boost fine now 1st,2nd and then 3rd till about 6krpm then goes in to limp mode..ive still got my old Codes/faults on it and havent done a TBA yet either..So all looks promersing..
A BMW Maf What a TIT that last bloke was! Do an ECU reset and a TBA and get out and get some logs done. Now you have the correct maf once we see some logs hopfuly your troubles should be sorted out fairly quickly.
It could also be the wet ecu problem wouldnt hurt to take it out and pop it indoors/air`ing cupboard overnight.
1.1 is about 15-16 psi that aitn standard as should be 7psi standard bet its got a remap on it thats maybe requesting to much boost why goign into limp.
i think a garage that does maps or a dealer can flash the ecu to stock if it isnt.
no idea what they would charge.
its only a guess but somebodys clearly fiddled with it. its running too much boost....like its been remaped? it had a 3" maf on it? somehow the boost has been turned up and the maf changed to a bmw one..
sounds like its been very badly tuned... perhaps the map has been messed with?
