Ive got a bailey dv30 im running an open cone filter and a remap,

now not that im bothered but every thread i have read regarding the dv everyone seems to be saying its really loud with an open cone, now mine is quieter than the standard one was with the open cone so just wondering could something be wrong or what?

cheers

My DV30 is quite loud even through my enclosed BMC CDA set up. I don't think the DV will be the cause of no noise as even the standard DV is loud through my BMC.

cant be pipe work, all have just been replaced and i tried my standard valve back on and its still loud, so i dont get why the bailey is quiet. and no its not fooked cause its only a few months old.

any other ideas?

the valve must be fooked

1.the quad ring on the piston may be split

2.could be leaking from round the hosetail

3.could be a week ass spring inside

OK so i got home and opened it up and this is what i found.

Now there doesnt seem to be a seal anywhere,it looks like there is one on that pic, but am i summit missing or wht??

My DV30 sounds exactly the same either way around.....

Well I tried mine the other way round once and it was much quieter! It was just a thought. I don’t think the baileys like being run with the pressure on the base of the piston. :D

yeh its the right away around. i have tried it both ways and sounds the same, just really quiet. and i believe the dv30 is suposed to be mounted the smae way as the OEM valve and apparently cant be used on the side like the forge valves can.

However i know a few people do run them on th eside and have no problems.

So im stumped.
