Tempremental boost gauge.

My boost gauge is playing up - one minute its working fine and the next stops moving altogether,and, on a couple of occasions has stopped half way round the dial as if its sticking - has anyone any ideas as to what could be up with it? (I have checked the connections and they appear to be fine) - thanks guys.

Check the piping, the fish tank piping tend to degrade due to the heat, casuing the gauge to play up

Its a mechanical one and was in the car when I bought it - as to where it feeds from - not very clued up on these things - think it could be the fuel pressure regulator but don`t quote me on that!

As it was already on the car it might be worth checking the pipe like Big Lad said it may have failed due to the heat.
Also try and trace the pipe back to the guage the pipe may have a kink or be squashed somewhere, if the pipes OK then it will be the guage have a look in the for sale section there was one in there the other day
