Take the plastic cover off that is near your dip stick.
Follow the pipes underneath your dipstick that go to the y section on your rocker cover.
There is a very come pipe that splits in between the dipstick and rocker cover.
You can usually hear a leak or at least feel for one around there.
I'm based in macclesfield if you fancy a drive over.
I don't own a lc but i do a octavia vrs (same engine).
sorry im new to this and just trying to get some answers as when i put everything on together dont get answers (or should i say didnt) and now my boot wont open
If its a vacum pipe thats split wouldnt it suck air into the pipe from outside, Therefore if i'm right and you put washing up liquid on it the split will suck the liquid into the engine NOT good
found the leak problem its the pipe that comes out of the y shaped pipe towards the front. one of the top cover holders have inbeded themselve into it the pipe code is 06A103213AF
ive looked for splits but noticed there a load of oil or sumit around the fpr if thats leeking would it cause this problem as forge have siad i sould have my boost gauge connected to that and not my vacume pipe (NO CAPITALS)
im thick aswell as the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) is not the part i thought it was the FPR is a small round thing just under the plastic cover ive been told that if your running a splitr valve this is the best place but i dont know about other valves as i fitted mine of a guide for the 007 valve so i pruse that ones ok there but check with others as im only learning and am **** with cars
