Looks good... though I would say that. Its the twin of my car, bar mine has 15mm rear spacers, LCR splitter and a few other goodies.

Looks nice clean too! I clayed mine yesterday... Im well chuffed :D

Cheers Dift .. I washed it yesterday before taking my parents to their birthday meal and a nice tree has dropped sap all over it .. so today I get to wash it again. I'm gonna have to wax it again soon

Do you find the LCR splitter catches on much?

It does catch a little, but not usually. Just need to be aware of it... and dont park to close to curbs in parking spaces... even tiny little ones. Mines stuck on good an proper. Its been on for about 2/3 years now.

Self tapping screws. Just screwed it in (remembering to take off a bit of the middle "blade" which clips into the LCR bumper). Did the inside on centre, then worked my way out, bending it slightly as I went and finally choped about an inch off the ends when on. I think the bumper will come off before the splitter does.

Cheers Dift it sounds like one of those things I might be seeking help doing if I go ahead.

Chris, the torque is mad, maximum torque is just about 2,100 rpm, just have to be careful with the clutch if I'm 3,4,5 or 6th gear, full throttle there does sometimes give a judder. It can be a bit annoying in the rain though as it spins the wheels very very easily.

After the Pirellis wore out I went for Toyo Proxes T1-Rs .. I'm now on Falken FK452s. To be really honest the the Toyos weren't anything special in the wet and allegedly the Falkens are a bit of a harder compound and I've found them no worse in the wet and the dry they are pretty much the same as the Toyos. The Pirellis were hopeless in the wet and ok in the dry. How much of that was to do with suspension though I'm yet to find out, as soon as it rains I'll let you know!

you're making me jealous lol. I can get wheelspin too.....in 1st......foot flat down.... lol

I deff wanna go down TDI route for my next car:)

I'd fully recommend going down the diesel route BUT ... test drive one first. I know people who find the power band narrow and they don't like it. On the other hand I love the low down torque. I reckon you'll love it but give it a try first.

Well Im insured on my parents new passat 2.0 TDI, so understand what u mean about power band, diesels for you! Cant match the torque though!

car looks lovely tony mate..
looks much better on coilovers too, hopefully should have mine done before the next meet..(nick and Aaron kinda talked me into it without them realising lol)...still waiting for my chromed inlet to come back so i can show it off...

would love to give my car the home detailing treatment but knowin me i wil fook the paint up or summat...best leave to the professionals methinks..

Cheers Bret! (ok it says it under your avatar but I'm still awful with names!) .. Good work Aaron and Nick then, lowered LCRs look amazing! Chrome is just out and out showing off!

There's little to no fear of damage when it comes to clay barring, you just spray on some (quick detailer in my case but there are other lubricants available) and rub with the clay bar and nead (err sp?) it to show a clean side and carry on it's very very easy! Pat (Unclefester) is showing me soon how to PC my car to remove the swirl marks so I'll be doing that next .. as for waxing .. very easy .. rub it on, let it settle/dry and buff it until it shines and doesn't ghost.

Karl ... it got chucked a bit tonight on some b roads and the handling is just so lovely now it's lowered, I really hope I can find some arbs soon to sharpen it up just that little bit more but the coilovers have made such a huge difference. The ride is amazing now compared to standard, it's just so nice to be in the car now.

we'll have to do a roundabout challenge at the next meet, you take me around a roundabout fast in your car and try your hardest to scare me then i'll take you out in mine to see if i can scare you!
