Why's that then? - with MAF disconnected there was no noticable flat spots just a very slight blip at about 3000rpm...
I was wondering about the VVT this morning on the AUQ engine and when it comes into play... anyone know?
i think youve 2 issues here... a dying maf which was going unoticed to some extent.... and that blip/flat spot thing
the failing maf would proberly highlight the blip ect.
see how you get on. maf obviously wasnt working right but if you still feel a slight hesitancy aroung 2.5-3k rpm on part throttle see it as normal.
running a big turbo that very slight blip you describe is more noticable in mine and i honestly think its the power change when the turbo is running to when it isnt being used. ecu sees the part throttle power request and uses a little turbo to get there. hits the level of power required and pulls the turbo away leaving it feeling to the driver like the powers been cut.
mine has improved with the diaphram dv so im wondering if its to do with the dv snapping open closed. (theory being the diaphram has a smoother action than a piston)
