Did Jabba give you your dyno plot on the back of a stamp? Unless somebody can make the images larger those pictures are useless to me.
If you are going to put it to me like that I wont make them available to you.
All it would take it is a simple statement not a sarcastic one.

It just goes CLUNK, off! :cartman:

A great clutch though. Acceleration through the gears is awesome as shifting can be done really fast due to the lightweight singlemass flywheel. [B)]

Silly question but did you not notice a drop in mpg and less torque due to lower mass inertia from the flywheel?

As im really wanting to go down the same route as yourself but I am abit reluctant as i dont want to have great acceleration if it means sacrificing cruising mpg as im currently acheiving 60+mpg at 85mph (on a private road of course) and i love big torque

Oh and what model is model clutch and single flywheel do you have fitted?
Thanks

60MPG at 85??? Think I need to take mine back to SEAT... I get no way near that!

I didn't really, no. I would say even if there were a 2mpg drop the performance of it is amazing and is a good price to pay for such gear changing speeds. I think mass inertia only really plays a part under engine braking. I do get good engine braking now. That's all pretty irrelevant though. I just love changing gear and being IN the next gear before the revs have dropped whilst the clutch is dipped down to that level. When I get it right I think I can shift up in around 1/3 of a second or less. The flywheel just makes it so easy.

I have SPEC's stage 3+ clutch (rated to 600 lb.ft at the wheels) and their matching 9lb ally flywheel.

Well thats me sold then how much did it cost in total mate?

Thats on straight road no hills mate and feathering the accelerator as to avoid boost below that say at 70 i just about manage 50mpg. though if im in the dales i get around 25-30mpg on average lol

I get about 55mpg at 70, but I go up to 85-90 that drops to an average of 45mpg as my car uses more boost to keep the car at those speeds. Something the mapper is sorting out though.

I got my clutch from SPEC in the USA, had it shipped domestically to Maine, and a friend sent it over to me on the cheap. It cost me $1200 all in, which back then equated to £600 roughly. Now with the $:£ at 1.50, it's gonna be a lot more. :(

I thought one of the dealers on this site was a SPEC dealer? TT shop springs to mind?

If sticking with dual mass then no need to bother with the spec unit. Get the sachs organic race one form competition braking products cost about £450 inc postage if you can get a trade deal out of them!

SMF = Noisy but strong (only noisy on idle with clutch pedal out I believe)

DMF = Quiet but is a weak link in the uprated clutch mod

Although the DMF is potentially a week point (obviously not as strong as a SMF) unless you are going to put monster power through it then all things being equall it should fine. Devonmikeyboy's still running on a DMF with 330bhp at the fly.

Just have it inspected if you're not 100% sure of its condition.

Dont have any probs with my dmf at 350lbft though to be fair had a new one fitted 30k before the uprated clutch went in.
