i have a 03 cupra, i noticed a humming noise from the rear,, so had the wheel bearing changed by a local garage, the noise was still there after thou!!, they then put two new tyres on the back, problem solved!!............ well for a couple of thousand miles, until the noise came back, the garage told me that it was a tyre fault, but i was not so sure, so i went to my local tyre depot (selecta tyre) and asked their opinion, they said it sounds more like a suspension problem, they showed me how the tyre has stepped, as you could feel it on your hand if you put your hand on the tread and rotated the tyre.
so, now i dont know what to do..., anybody know exactly what the suspension problem is!!??
thanks for your help

. My mate who's a mechanic has seen similar on a Mk.4 Golf they had in which I drove to see if same fault and on this it turned out to be some of the bushes had perished so they were replaced with Pro-flex ones and the noise had gone although the lad who owned the car asked them to change the bearings on both sides as well as the car had done 100k and he wanted piece of mind.

each time I change something it goes away for a short time then comes back. ![Cool [B)] [B)]](/forums/styles/seatcupra/oldforumsmileys/shades.gif)
