Just Smashed My Sump

As above i hit a granite brick in the road about double the size of a tennis ball but just need a few bits of info first. Has the Cupra got a oil sensor and will other cars like Audi A3, Golf MK4, Skoda etc etc fit.

Need my car back out A.S.A.P

you will be fine if you just replace the sump with any of those. as for the oil sensor im not sure. i dont think so. i have replaced mine twice

got mine from backdraft today, damn half a brick! probably fit it up saturday.

i feel your pain, i'm going to get another one and get a plate welded on the bottom!

seat ibiza only i'm told. golf etc has oil level sensor in the bottom, can get some pics when i get home if you are interested, also have the part number.

gotta say though that I also pay quite a lot of tax, however atleast there aren't any bricks on the road...except for the ones being chucked off the over passings by incest children thinking its a good laugh, usually killing everyone inside the car.

the plastic cover/shield that goes around the pulley side of the engine is 10mm from the floor and you can't get a 10 deck of b+h under the corner of the bumper.

i am playing btw.. its lower than mine!!!

i have had to stop on many occassions to remove debris out of the road so i can pass... i dont think the people behind me like me doing it though!

I will get a pic up soon as its in the garage at the mo with a new sump and having a 5mm alloy plate welded to the bottom so next time i hit a brick i'll crush it into pebbles and that plastic guard your on about i can just fit ny fingers under it lol but hey i new it would get smashed sooner or later just not that quick

Not sure yet but hopefully not that much lol but i have seen the plate he has made up and it looks rather good i will get a picture of the plate tomorrow hopefully and then a pic of when it is fitted
