If anyone takes a gander at the light cluster after removing it, can you take some pictures of the unit? If the removal is easy, can someone please put up a quick guide to safely remove and refit them? I suspect the unit has a lot of space available to put in a load of high power LED's. If the tail light is a 12W bulb, you can get a 12W 900 lumen unit for something like £18 WITH a heatsink suitable for a few mins of running. Just need to determine if there is enough space to mount it physically into the space.

LED will last pretty much for ever I think?

i beg to differ as one of my lights, (out of many) on my high level brake light has blown.
VW says that i'd have to replace the whole brake light as they can't just change 1 LED on the unit.
cost involved would be ZAR900...however much that would be in pounds or euros.

thanx,
RodneyA

Cant a warantee claim be made? I would think that since its a safety item it should somehow be possible to do the LED change... they just need a bit of forcing. There's just too much laziness at VWSA wen it comes to SEAT mate:(
