Rotherham, South Yorkshire!
Well my car is needing new discs and pads on the front, i'm really wanting to keep the 280mm set up as i've only got 16" alloys.

Whats the best setup for this size of brake?

Also if it's possible would I be able to go with bigger calipers even though i've got 16" alloys?

You have 288mm brakes ;)

Also 312mm brakes fit behind the 16's you have (assuming you have standard wheels)

I always thought the green stuff pads were supposed to be rubbish or is that the red stuff ones? also what are these DS2500 I keep reading about?

T.Spark I do have standard 16" alloys but i've also got some 16" Mer rims to fit with 20mm adapters giving me alot of space between the caliper and the alloy.

In MY opinion the best pads by far are Ferrodo DS2500 pads with Tarrox G88 discs.

That link to the first set of brakes i have been told arent that good. I have just brought a set of the discs in the 2nd link (EBC Turbo grooved discs for the front) and plain EBC rears and Yellow stuff pads all round and am very impressed. My mate has the EBC Turbo grooved all round on his Celica GT4 and he is also very impressed

If you do order anything from EBC (EBC Brakes Direct) type in this code 'scooby 58' and this will get you an extra discount!! something like 15% and free delivery i think

I've got Zimmerman crossed drilled discs with EBC Greenstuff pads on the front.

The discs look very nice and perform well, the pads are good as long as you run them in properly.
