Had my Ibiza FR second hand for a few months now. Still got a year of warranty left. Few things have gone wrong. Firstly like most, I get condensation in headlights, one worse than the other.
Second, it seems after a long drive and recent cold weather my driver side headlight washer always gets stuck in the out position after use. And my driver side electric window one touch up or down button is broken. As in it works fine if you hold it, but will not go up or down with one click anymore. Anyone else had these problems?

Warranty wise are all these covered and do I simply turn up at a dealer of my choice to get the work done? Obviously book it in etc. But is it that simple?

Thanks, got one problem fixed. Reset windows and their fine now. Strange how they can suddnely mess up, I suppose going up/down/up/down all day would send anyone mad. So that leaves condensation which I can live with, my previous 2 ibizas have had the same, so any ideas for fixing my headlight washer? Just looks like it might be gunked up and sticking??

My headlight washers are in for replacing for a second time this week. When (not if) they fail next time, I'll be back to them for them disabling (remove the fuse) and start giving SEAT UK some hammer to get the cost of them back. Welcome to the club!! It's a decent car other than all these little niggles I think though.

There seems to be a lot of this "headlight washers sticking up" right now, I realise that they will be getting used a lot just now, but I've had them on my B5 Passat 2000MY and apart from the washer pump failing due to it rusting up mine have been okay and so have the ones fitted to my wife's 9N Polo 2003MY - so why are Ibiza ones failing? Its not due to previous light frontal impact distorting the area they are mounted on is it? These washer stalks are not rocket science, they just get forced up with the pump pressure and should collapse back down when the pressure drops.

Hi ciano125,
I've been having the exact same problem with my drivers' side headlight washer jet getting stuck in the up position. Have you had any success in getting yours sorted, and if so, what was the problem?
Many thanks.

Many thanks mhill,
Unfortunately, the warranty's finished, hence why I'm trying to find out on this forum if there's a common cause for these washers getting stuck, and a way of fixing it myself, rather than throwing money at a dealer.

Thanks again mhill,
I was suspecting I'd have to get the bumper off - looks to be quite a few bolts involved! If that's what your dealer ended up doing, then I guess there's no sneaky way around it. I'm hoping the problem's just gunk in the pump once I get to them, but even if I can't get them working again, I might be able to persuade them closed, then disconnect them forever.

Disconect them add a FMIC and plumb them up so they act as a cooler for the FMIC lol

Mine have been replaced again, so at the moment they're working....

How many times id that then?

Does anyone find the washers effective?
