Its not at all laggy on the race car. I am worried it may turn out to be laggy, but not a real problem as i can just swap the turbo :)!

Alex, is there any strength in those seat reals and the cross part where the slider adjustment was fitted?

I really need to get my seat lower and i think doin that would be spot on, which i guess your doing.

love the car mate, not so keen on the grill though

by 'grill' do you mean the IC ?

if it is the big shiney thing at the front... well .

thats IC is probably the best one around and why not show it off a bit...
thats like going out with a supermodel and dressing her up as a tramp.

 Lol i think he is. I tell you one thing it looks 100 times better than chrome wing mirrors :D

I dont think i could handle anymore lag than my 64ar 2871r!!, but it should improve slightly with apexi getting set up and you're going 1.9 which will defo help :)

mine hits 1 bar at 3500rpm and 1.5bar about 4k, what are you expecting from the 84ar?

Are you changing the inlet manifold?

Alex, this lot that you've removed...

The whole cross section.

You need to remove all the rails then you need all this to weld in place. The sidemounts bolt directly to the rails. Bill has the same setup on his drivers seat that custom cages did. Have a look in his build thread around page 5 i think.

Isn't the race car a big port head though? I know you getting yours ported though too so yours might turn out to be fairly useable without too much lag. But then laggy is a it of a vague term anyway, one persons laggy might be another persons acceptable level.... On another note does Backdraft ever employ placement engineering students for a year in industry? Or do you fancy emplyoing a placement student now your all set up with your new premises Bill?

The race car is small port. Even when coming on boost in the race car it still isnt laggy. On full boost just after 3.5k. If i drive my car then its either pootling about or driving fast so i never see the lag tbh.

We already have a motorsport student here a few day a week. But if you work for free...?!

yeah and i am also looking for a placement, i do Automotive Engineering at Coventry University, shame i can't find a place at the moment (every company is saying "credit crunch" all the time!)
