Sweet be awsome to see it on the road! I see you got the skirts on the runaround then, looks great! What wheels has it got on now?

Just read this from start to finish, awesome car Alex - wish I had your skills and knowledge to do something as impressive as this :) Hope the new build goes well for you

Cheers Rob. Head should be fitted on Tuesday then the gearbox should be done the following week when its back from cryo treatment. Gotta weld the seat mounts in still and waiting for the heated screen. Now do i weld a cage in while everything is out? Then i can do a fully tig'd cage!

What you having cryo treated just the box internals/ diff or do you have the casing done aswell?
You should defo weld a cage in now saves having to take bits out again to do it!!

Just getting the internals done. Peloquins say the diffs are already treated. Ratios are slightly lower as i have the final drive from a golf. Not much different with about a 5mph drop through the gears.

beautiful car alex!!!!! :D first time id stumbled across this too!

how did you get the stereo done? and does everything still work ok? i.e. a/c temp display etc..

Cool, how much is it to get it treated if you don't mind me asking

Thankyou :) Hooch is the man for the steroes. Everything works as it should. Stereo is now in the diesel as i wont be running one in the cupra.

Looking around £100 - £150 retail depending on the weights.

thanks mate, I'll drop him a pm once I'm back from holidays! Got a picture with a headunit fitted mate?

Not to bad then i thought it was going to be dearer than that, is that the place in suffolk thats doing it, cant remember there name now.

Frozen Solid. The owners have just moved to a village 10 mins away from me which makes postage cheaper!

Pic of the standard rear beam bushes next to the black compound powerflex items. So much cheaper than the VT ones too.
