Front Fog lights on when headlights on.

Hi,

My Y reg Leons fog lights are permanently on when I turn on the dipped beams. The knob for turning the lights on is pushed in, so its not me being stupid. Anyone else had this? Is it an easy fix?

The car has only recently been in for a service and they replaced the brake switch, coincidence?

its the pull part of the headlight switch, needs the turning part reseating

I had to replace my headlight switch when it did this.

yes. sounds like a short within the switch.

I have got this problem with my Leon. is the switch hard to replace?

No, peace of cake, literally just pulls out. Think you may have to take the lower cowling off but that's it.

Certainly a DIY job anyway.

Just push the switch in an twist anti clockwise. Then keeping it twisted pull it and it will pull out of the dash. No need to remove anything else.
