yep its a genuine renault leguna splitter, and that bit is grey because i have done some repair work, some had hit it with something and bent it, and the reason i am keeping the bumpers is that everyone is changine to the facelift bumpers so i want to be different, goin for my own style rather than following the crowd really, i would like to change to a mk3 front at somepoint but not sure yet, im trying to get hold of some gti sideskirts but they are expensive on fleabay even for secondhand ones

Haha so I inspired you to keep the pre-facelift bumpers then ;) lol how did the fitting of the laguna splitter go?

To be honest though i agree with most people on the mirrors...6n polo mirrors or stubby mk3 ibiza mirrors would suit it alot better!

Also if you want to see some pics with pressed plates, have a look at my build thread again...there is some pics before and after and they definately freshen up the look of the car!

yes you inspired me indeed with both the splitter and keeping my bumpers, im after ssome sideskirts at the min but they are expensive even for second hand, i like my mirrors :D

where was it you bought your induction kit from? Im looking into getting one and dont wanna end up buying a wrong one! Mods are looking awesome :) i like the fact your keeping it pre facelift too :)

ah thats cool =] so is it just a filter and pipe? and the filter goes straight off the pipe? does it add any performance or just make it sound a bit better? :p

i'd go along with what everyone has said so far but also add take off the limo smoked rear black out. Doesnt do the car any favours.

As for the mirrors....would have to agree that they dont always suit the ibiza but i put dtm mirrors on my old mk3 after someone had knocked one of the originals off. There a cheap replacement and do the job.

can someone explain to me exactly what a splitter does and how it works please?

sure, it increases front downforce and reduces drag by smoothing the airflow around and under your front spoiler. also some people use it to make the car look lower than it is.

but i think i know what your getting at:cartman:

pushes the front of the car down a very little bit, and adds to the cool factor like ^^^^ that guy already said
