Changing rear lights

Looking closely at my 08 ibiza ecomotive i've noticed not only is the bumper very different from the fr but also the boot.

Does anyone know whta base model the ecomotive is built around. Could I put the clear rear lights like the cupra/Fr models on?

the tailgate should be exactly the same so cupra/fr lights will fit no problem. Ecomotive is still based on polo 9n chassis like every other Mk4 Ibiza.

the FR/CUPRA rear lights aren't clear...they have a silver/grey backing whereas the basic models (bar some sport models) have red backing

and yes, lights are interchangeable

As said - the lights are all interchangeable. And you can get some aftermarket lights too if you fancy.

All the aftermarket ones are gash and don't fit snug. The only ones I've seen that are smart are European with the fog light on the wrong side (I bought some cheap to try to work around this but broke one in the process!)

Your ecomotive should have darker tinted rear lights fitted as standard, which I reckon look better than the Cupra/FR lights

yeh bit wrong really I guess!
