Its got casette radio, and CD player, 6 disc changer. I put the right code in,and hold, tap, press, about 500 times the PTY button but nothing happens!!! As soon as I press the program button it brins a small 1 up, then do it again and it brings a 2, then just says SAFE.. Im gonna punch the thing in a minute!!!

Key in your number
Hold down the PTY/PROG button until there is a beep.
The code should be accepted.
See the pic in the manual - should only be one button. Are you sure the code is right?

Have to say the Symphony in the Audi isn't too horrific, but 'they' say that Alpine make it if Audi tell the truth. I ripped the Grundig units out of all my previous SEAT's. More trouble than they're worth.

the code is the one in the handbook
The code is normally found in the front of the radio instruction booklet on a little cut out section inside the cover page.
Serious im not dumb, I put the code in using the "1,2,3,4," numbers, then once the correct code it entered I HOLD the PTY button down, nothing happens? I press the PTY button down, nothing happens? I then press/hold the program button and it flashes SAFE, I then try again, and it says 2SAFE, and locks.... im getting annoyed... Im gonna take it seat dealers, best way?!?!

I used to sell VAG cars and sometimes if we were missing a booklet we would just grab one from another car!

It's not that simple, they will need to take the stereo out to get the serial number off then they will have to fax the factory in spain, you might have your code in time for spring. I would take the stereo out and put a better one in. Anythings better than the grundig that you've got!
