Which is the dyno then bill? Dyno lottery now mystery dyno!
Fp Green will do 460bhp,will struggle to hold more than 1.8bar by redline i'd imagine
Fp Red will do 500bhp,will respond much better to race fuel, intakes, throttle body etc.
As far as Gt35's go on 0.82 housing you'd be looking at 700bhp at around 2.2bar with a very good set-up.I'd be very suprised if a gt35 at 1.3bar could produce 500bhp!

The dyno is irrelevant, its relative comparison to the Red previously..
same dyno, gt35 is making the same power from 1.3bar boost that the red did at 2.2bar - it is flowing significantly more.. Now, this is not just a turbo change, its a new exhaust manifold, with external w/g, larger intake etc etc

time will tell what it does. It looks pretty promising from 1st runs.
when I get time to finish my fuel system, it will be back on the dyno for completing the mapping for phase 1.

the green and red both sustained 2.2bar max I limited them to @ 8200rpm on my 1900 motor. 7cm exhaust housing on green, 8cm on red. power was still rising when it was stopped @ 8200rpm. I whimped out at that point then. Now pushing 9000rpm stop so we will see what happens. more revs more power is expected output as the red did'nt show any signs of having run out of puff, and the GT35 certainly looks to be flowing more.

have a read of this then! stock exhaust valves as well:blink:

this one is flowing more.. and sounds like exhaust housing limited if what he says is how I read it.

Spiking 35 and falling to 30-32 pretty quickly. I had to shave the head to the limit due to my stupidity, compression is up a bunch from my measurements. I run the low spring so the Profec doesn't have to work as hard. I am definitely pushing the turbo but with the new .82 housing it gives me 32 psi all the way out to 8500. The .63 fell off after 6500.

note the rev limit difference.
revs=flow

Hello all,
quick update on my car, was ment to go back for remapping today but I went a bit crazy at pod on saturday (18 runs) and on sunday I met up with a few fast ibiza's from birmingham so the clutch is slipping hard now! So obviously never made it JBS today.

I managed a 13.1 1/4mile @ 112mph
that was my best 0-60ft time also... 2.2667 with parada spec 2's.

I wanted to get my best run then see how it differs after the mapping!

Anyone have experience with Helix Autosport Clutches?
I have been offered a sprung 6 paddle ceramettalic clutch and pressure plate spec'd to 380lb torque..

Any thing else I can go for... not american?

Thanks

i would say you definately only have circa 400bhp with those times.Hooch was trapping 124mph terminals with 460bhp in his ibiza!

when first IHI'd, max power 320bhp tops, my ibiza was 13.4s 1/4 and 112mph terminal on toyo t1s road tyres

would expect a much faster terminal speed tbh if the car has that power you think

i would defo say you should be in 12's and 120mph+. my best was 12.5 iirc with 124mph (or was it 126mph?) and that was with my surge issues.

definatly think you should be better than that. especially if you done 18runs. ive not done that amount in total of every time ive been lol

HoocH

Im utter crap at pod with this setup! I either spin and spin and spin or bog down! and playing with the throttle is still very hard on off on off...
I will try and get my clips up, and in my defense I still have stock shifters so took me about a second each gear change! boost @ 1.7

And also thats the main reason I need it mapped again and I need a rev limit so I can really thrash it!

Any ideas on clutches?
And also what kind of money could I get for my turbo??

I think the polo may be quite a bit heavier than the old ibeza aswell. Nearly 1200kg from what I can find, and the old ibeza can't possibly weigh that.

This time round I was weighing in at 1300kg with me in the car, full interior - not the best weight but I was alone so needed to take all my tools, spare wheel etc all in the boot!

it most certainly does weigh that.. fact
1157kg without me and without rear seats, but with bolt in cage, 1/2 tank of fuel

How on earth do they make a rattley old shed made of paper weigh that much?:D
But still 50kg/s lighter than the polo.

lol - I doubt its any different to the polo..
book weight as advertised is nothing like its actual weight from when I physically weighed mine. They quote it being much lighter than it actually is.

112mph terminal speed is still poor for a 400whp polo sized car tho. weight difference is'nt the gap.

you must be mistaking rattly old mk4 golfs with stiffer shelled ibiza's.
Golf 4 shells are flimsey as fcuk in comparison to ibiza.

Bill, advertised weights mean nothing as you say. Mines suposed to be 1269 with driver and 1/2 tank, yet its mid 1300's without driver on all the weigh bridges I've been on.

The polo is the same as the model after yours though, and the kerbs were quoted 50 or so kg heavier than the earlier model. also 50kg could easily make 1-2mph difference at that level, but mostly it's about the driver.

I know I cant drive/launch my ibiza for toffee down a 1/4 mile. twisties and braking on circuit is more my bag.
will get the badgerwagen on a 1/4 mile this year tho - curious

low psi in your tyres will help launch. I think James H on his mk2 ihi golf on r888's ran them 10psi or so for his 1/4 mile. must feel like blamonge when you lift off tho! 100+ on 10psi tyres must feel horrible
