Rotherham, South Yorkshire!
Does anyone on here care to elberate on the rough costs for a full hybrid treatment?

Uprated clutch fitted by myself.
Uprated turbo possibly fitted by myself.
Uprated FMIC fitted by myself.

Any thing else apart from another remap?

try asking some of the sponsors on here but i guess around a grand if they are suplying the turbo

1. £500 for a sach clutch kit or £700ish for a helix kit! i personally have a sach kit, but have the helix ready to be fitted on the get go
2. If its diesel, just get a 130 or 150 garret turbo and get them to hybrid it, removing and fitting is a piece of cake!
3. possibly the most expensive part! :( £700 roughly from forge

John,

Clutch, i would go for the helix. heard of a few hybrid TDi's slipping clutches with the sachs.
If your wanting a new flywheel too, this will set you back between £800 and £900.

Turbo, your best bet is a Turbo Dynamics Stage 2 Hybrid, of a GT1749va (If im not mistaken).

For a new unit direct from TD its about £1100

Intercooler wise, you can get the seat sport with forge pipework for around £550. Much better than the forge setup.
Alternatively, you could have a custom setup, using a universal cooler, and then pipe it up however you like. This could cost as little as £400.

Then on top of this, you will need mapping. Personally, i would choose RS tuning in Leeds.
Been in a couple of there hybrids, and they are seriously quick.
Think if you buy the turbo through paul, mapping is around £400-500, but dont hold me to that one.

Also, it may pay to decat your exhaust too, if you havnt already.

Tom.

Whats the advantages of getting a stage 2 turbo dynamics turbo. As opposed to getting a Garret pd150(vb) turbo and sending it off for hybrid treatment?

None as far as I know but I'm not too clued up on it. I'd have though that the TD2 is THEIR turbo and the other isnt. At a guess.
