Engine Bay Cleaning

Just wondered what you guys used to clean your engine bay as mine seems very dirty compared to others.

i was thinking that when i saw your hose fitting thread you dirty boy.

have a look in the detailing forum mate, lots of info in there.

I use P21S, (now superseded by R222) spray it on agitate the dirty parts with a small brush and hose it off. the dry off and apply Aerospace 303 Protectant onto all plastics.

are you saying you remove the engine aswell to polish it

thought i was the only one.

you might also want to get the bonnet seal that connected to the edge of the bonnet and stop water being forced into the engine bay. very cheap mod.

i used auto glym engine and machine cleaner. just spray it on rub it in with a brush and then rince off with a hose. then spray on rubber and vinal cleaner and finnaly use engine lacquer.

i might as well have done by the time i had finished.
