button by door column

i dont have a manual and cant see it on net.. looking to see what this little button is for.. its of a car with some what looks like radar beams, situated on the door colomn by driver seat.. what is it??

as above, i think it allows you to have a window open without the alarm going off, i.e when a dog is in the car

Yeah just press it after you have removed the key from the ignition and before you lock the car, turns off the ultra-sonics the main door locking alarms will still be active though.

cheers everyone.. still got the problem with the central locking, where sometimes all doors open and other times its only the drivers, even when pressed twice... so annoying!
