I just heard of people with the Split R having Limp Mode issues because the ECU was picking it up as a boost leak

hi ive got a turbosmart dual port dump valve on my leon which i have had on for about 6 years now got it when the car was pretty much standard got the re-location kit too and have had no problems what so ever. it is also one of the loudest that i have heard on any car. the car is now running around 300bhp and i still have it on and it is still working fine no probs they are a bit dearer tan alot of other makes but i rekon you do actually get what you pay for!
Quick question for the guys who have got the turbosmart Dv. Do your cars sound similar to the Mazda, or the Passat??
Redline magazine did a review on dump valves in this months issue. They used the forge 007 and split-r (had it on atmospheric). They did it on a Nissan Pulsar. The results were that with no dump valve you can get the quickest time however overall the 007 was the best with regards to how quick you could reach a certain speed and be able to actually idle the car. They then tested it on a 350bhp Audi and the opposite happened. The atmospheric dv was better than the closed loop.
The dv mystery goes on ay!!!

I got that mag and they never used either of those valves! They used a 006 and a 004. Overall the full re-circ was the best option.

Specify 25mm for our cars yes. Doesn't have to be relocated but near the throttle body is the best place for it, so relocating is a good idea.
