i'd put standard ones on ad if you wanted to be different tint them red

i had a set off the ones you got on the car for awile and i have to admit they didnt look to bad!i only lent them though when was working in motorworld and had to giv them back.was abit dissapointed to be honest.stick with them

Just a question, you know the Raid/first set, is it the LEDs that light up when you turn your lights on at night? Or the other red bit

What colour is your Cupra Luke? Got any pictures of the lights fitted?

The problem is they're Lexus-style. This gives the car a 'cheap' chavvy look. Also, from the side you can see the Lense stick out, which spoils the shape of the Leon.

Me likey too!

Anyone know where you can buy the dark smoked ones like that from? I'd get some chrome one and do it myself with tint spray but no doubt it wouldn't come out as good as the proper dark ones.

I did find these : http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/9208/referer/rc_froogle.html

But far too expensive IMO considering a can of tint spray is <£10 and I'd want them darker than those anyway

I see your mate got your good side in the pic ;) :roflmao:

Yeah looks good.

 Stop it you're making me blush

Yeah the ones in that link aren't really dark enough across the lenses, just the surround, although I do like them.

I just tried tinting my side repeaters but the spray looked a bit brown as I was putting it on, so I put quite a lot on to make them look glossy and black but they dried almost matt grey :( I don't know what I did wrong, maybe too much spray. I've cleared it all off now using white spirit but I might have another shot at it and try using less this time. Does the tint spray normally look brownish as you apply it?

Nooo, you must do very light single coats from 12" away, don't apply loads on at once :(

The brown colour is pretty normal iirc yes. Main thing to remember is to make sure the can is shaken well and the coats are LIGHT and give them 10 minutes drying time in between until you get desired affect

HTH

PS What brand you using and where from? Just curious

do them yourself a tenner an its done

Thanks for the help, I'll try that then! I'm using Savage tint spray that I got from Speeding.co.uk. It seems like decent stuff, I think I was just doing it wrong

They look quite good, if I'm successful at tinting my side repeaters I might have a go at the tail lights.

I'm considering a change in lights like you from OEM that I have right now. Am actually watching your lights on Ebay funnily enough. I'd have gone for the 2nd 1's you have pictured above but was unsure about buying from Germany. Been told to take care with smoking lights aswell as you risk being pulled if your reflectors are compromised. I'm already over the top with points so can't take the risk!! Lol.
