Nice Gear knob for Ibiza Mk2???

OK my handbreak gaiter was looking really worn so I decided to buy some new ones, have just ordered these off ebay:

And now I'm thinking that the gear knob is going to look old and worn now! So I'm after some suggestions/ideas as to what you guys think would look nice?

Dun wan't anything chavvy! Something tasteful, has anyone recently bought a new one?

Also will any type fit or do I need a special type, and how do you get it off? Just tried unscrewing it and it didn't work!

All suggestions appreciated!

You need to try unscrewing harder

The thread spec is mentioned in here somewhere. Any gear knob with the same thread should fit.

Ive got a gorgeous sparco gear know in my 8v. Another ebay bargain listed up wrong. got it for about £8 and is worth £40....its got such a nice feel to it.

Ive got the same gaitors in my car. The gti ones I got were worn etc so I got those so the red stitching matches the red piping on my car mats.

They are very good quality.

Mk4 Golf ones can be fitted with the help of a small jubilee clip to hold them on to the gear stick shaft

You have to re-use your original gaitor though, as the Mk4 one won't quite fit onto the centre console properly.

I picked up mine for about £5 on Ebay

awesome, some sites above have a few nice gear knobs. Will probably get oe for mine too. That RICHBROOK black leather one looks very nice! by the way - is the handbreak different on 1996 onwards? I don't have a centre console on my car - so the handbreak comes up from the carpet.

and this listing said seat ibiza 1992-2002 so I am assuming that it will fit my 1998 Ibiza, I'll let you know when it comes if it fits!

ive got the same gaitors that youve ordered, the gear bit fits perfectly, but the handbrake gaitor doesnt fit over the whole plastic bit which i thought it would,

ive got it on there now but ive just folded it inwards at the bottom to neaten it up.

its a shame it didnt fit perfectly because it looks really good
