can anyone tell me if the opening rear quarter windows out of a mk2 cupra will fit in a car with standard windows. are the bolt holes for the hinges and open/shut mechanism already there but hidden behind the trim around the window?. any info will be much appreciated.

Hi mate, this is something I did just last week! They can be fitted, all of the holes are there, you'll need the trim pieces from the cupra to.

The hardest part is removing the fixed windows, I tried cutting the sealant off but it took ages so ...... I smashed the window and it made it much easier! make sure you get off most of the sealant tho otherwise the seals won't sit right.

One thing that I didn't get with the windows and seals were some nuts that fit in holes so that you can screw the hinges in, but you can order these from seat for 35p each, and you'll need 14.

If you need anymore info just ask! Kyle

Thats interesting to know. You may get some PM's from me over the next few weeks.

rather have fixed ones myself - mine look like bingo wings when open

I only did it because I got the windows for free, only cost me £5 total to change them! quite like the look of them open they poke about the same amount as my et5 9j rear wheels! Lol

sorry kyle - just saying i dont like em in mine when open - it's a cheap conversion mind
