any other exciting things people have found? i believe some cars are prewired for CD changers and some prewired for 12v in the boot... but not aware of any trends to work out which are and which aren't

i found out today when i was bored and reading my handbook that the clip on the underside of the parcel shelf is to hold up the boot liner so you can use two hands to get the spare wheel out

I didn't know just how many 'common faults' there were on them, until after I brought mine!

Mind you...I wouldn't have it any other way!

That the sensor for the low windscreen washer scares the crap out of you, being honest that could possbly be due to the previous car was a fiat stilo, and when ever the dash kicked off you knew it was gonna cost you!

I've done a few of the usual mods to mine and I can still get 36mpg (even had as much as 41mpg on some occasions!!!) on long motor way trips etc, cruising at 80mph :funk:

Really?! The first time I pulled the boot liner up I pulled by the little cord, and when they lined up perfectly I figured it out!! haha

haha that's great, i just learned something about my leon ;D

whilst owning it, the only thing that i've discovered that i didn't know before is that it can do an indicated 230km/h down a massive hill in germany, even though it's only supposed to do around 210km/h :p

That's what the hook is for! I'm gonna try it when I leave work, for no reason at all :)

Have people ever compared tyres with mpg?

The reason I ask is I was flicking through my Croft program and saw a Michelin advert saying that 20% or power is used to move your tyres.

I know I've seen mpg cahnge depending on my tyre tread pattern.

Forgot to mention, I remember reading on here ages ago that the holes in the rear ash tray compartment are for headphones?
