so would the polo springs go straight in?????

i'm guessing so...but you should also fit the Polo shocks as they will be set up for the lower and softer ride. if you stick to standard shocks you may be running a risk as they are not intended to act at lower spring height

the cupra springs would be the same as the fr springs, only difference i thought were the damper settings in the shocks  either that or there is a minimal difference between 20vt and TDi front springs due to the difference in engine weights

the cupra shocks will also be set to a harder setting to cope with the Cupra performance

i believe the polo setup has slightly shorter springs and different shocks as it only came with a 1.6 petrol engine...this is possibly the reason why the FR TDi i saw looked just right (the weight of the engine and the slightly larger body puts the suspension under a tad more stress)

i think they will but your shocks won't last very long...i think someone on here kept standard shocks and fitted aftermarket springs and had this problem just because of the simple fact that they aren't designed for a lower ride-height...

but i can't vouch for this...you really need the word from someone who has experienced it, but it would make sense as manufacturers design & set suspension settings according to how they believe is best to handle performance, otherwise they would all use the same springs and shocks accross the market
