Hi,

I've only been on here for a few days as only boughtt my LCR on Wednesday. Have had a good search about the rear wiper on her and all I can seem to find is details about the Skoda Fabia wiper or a VW wiper.

If i am only after a replacement wiper blade will a Bosch 16" wiper blade be ok (there is one on ebay which is supposedly for Leons. was going to include the link but its not allowing me to until after 15 posts).

Also I am tempted with the whole Fabia replacement wiper as it does look nicer however wanted to know whether people still keep the same front standard Leon wipers when they change the rear to a Fabia? And if so does it look ok or will it be noticeable that front wipers are different to rear?

Any pics of the Fabia wiper would be appreciated.

Cheers
A :)

Woorks much better than standard to :)

Il second that! but make sure you go for the one of the hatchback fabia n NOT the estate. The difference is the little slit in the cap for your water to spray out of. As i made this mistake. As far as front ones go, aero wipers and arms off a mk4 golf do the trick. VW also do a conversion kit but all it is aero blades that fit onto your standard wiper arms. Worth is though for £20 i beleive. ebay is your friend.

No No No....

You get the Estate wiper arm, Estate wiper blade, and the hatchback bolt cover cap. The hatchback wiper is much shorter ;)

Like you I wasn't sure about changing rear wiper but once you see a fabia rear wiper it looks much better than original. I got mine from ebay and I also bought some aero front wipers which are much better aswell.

does anyone find their rear wiper squeels like an arse or jumps as it goes along sometimes? all my 3 leons with the 2 different wiper shapes as above have all done it! Very annoying!

Iv had no probs with mine apart from fitting it. Had to sand the cover down as it kept popping off.

Standard one used to squeek, Fabia one is much better.

yeah mine squealed like a dutch *****! when the wiper is flat against windscreen look underneath it and you should see two metal strands, they are probably rubbing on window. i bent them up a little and it doesn't screech anymore. . .

I use the touran one on the rear and the proper aero ones of a golf mk4 on the front, click my pic below to see the difference :)
Passenger needs to be cut down a touch to clear the window trim.

Mine don't make any noise at all :)

yeah my car has the mk4 golf conversion and what a pain in the arse that was having to cut the wipers down!!! the metal inside them is VERY tough! how do most people cut them?

Rear Wiper - only judders on the first wipe across and not always, its generally when there is a little lack of water.......its a pain in the arse....

i have the fabia rear wiper and golf aero front wipers. both are brill...IMO the aero wipers look so much better than the kit that you fit to the standard arms

thanks lee!!
@ funkyfin. i found it easy enough to cut! how often will you be cutting them anyway lol

Lee - do you have any pics of the aeros from the outside of the car so i can see what they look like on the windscreen?

Cheers
