Ashtray wont shut

I was a bit harsh shutting my ashtray the other day and fear I may have broken somthing as it will not close now. I am refereing to the main one on the dashboard.
Any ideas?

I did the same thing. Breakers yard my friend for around a fiver.

On mine it was the 'slow opening' mechanism to give up first and then it just would'nt stay closed.

The plastic breaks. Had the same problem. Scrappy or eBay
