does anyone know if u can reset the engine warning light

my engine warning light has come on, but still running great, iv been told that u can turn the light off but dont know how? any truth behind this?

Are you not bothered why the light has come on?

If you disconnect the battery for 30mins it should reset the ECU but if there's a problem the light will just come back on.

ummm id like to know also if this is true as my EML has never worked it dont even come on when you turn the ignition on. but i do run VAGCOM once a month just in case....

ive heard of cars having the bulb ripped out to hide issues, but its nuts doing this.

iv had it checked the other week, with no problem showing.
