will a 2.0 tfsi turbo fit the leon 1.8 t?

ello everyone, i was hoping that you could help me....
will the turbo off of a 2.0 tfsi engine fit on to my 1.8t leon?

Mounts are probably diffrent, you can change a 1.8t to a 2L tho using a tsfi crankshaft and rods.

what? im not quite sure of the bore, but i imagine its got a diffrent cylinder head.

Just had a read and they seem to be 83mm, not sure how the stoker kit would fit, but they sell the kit so it must do.

I dont think so, as far as i was aware the FSI's are completely new engines and the turbo is manufacturered as part of the exhaust manifold not seperate like the 1.8t

Doesn't the LCR have forged pistons in already? Would there be any true benefits to this on an LCR?

you replace the manifolds anyhow to go BT so no dramas

IIRC the blocks are similar but obviously the 2.0T is FSI and has a different cylinder head, exhaust manifold (part of turbo) and inlet manifold etc.

I've heard its possible to swap some of the 2.0T fsi blocks in to a MK1 leon and then but the 1.8t head on. Reason it was done is because the internals are stronger as standard on the 2.0FSI engine.

So unless you want to find a way to make FSI work on a mk1 and then fit the cylinder head, turbo and inlet manifold its not worth it
