hi, ive used a small screw to secure at the very top., have the nomad double pillar pod.

This is doing my head in!!!!:censored:[:@][:@]:censored:

How the f**k do you keep the upper edge in place? I have tried velcro and have just purchased some heavy duty stuff off of fleabay.

If it doesn't work i'll be selling it!

As has been said, I just used the screw and cover provided and screwed it into the existing yellow clip that was left in place, worked fine and its pretty secure.

I have the same problem seems like it is a little small, when offereing it up to the 'A' pillar it seems to sit to far in. I was thinking of mounting over the original trim and gluing it, cutting a hole behind the gauge to allow the wires and tubes to come through

i cut the females from the original pillar and stuck them on the nomad pillar pod fits really well if done properly, also used some velcro for the bottom of the pillar cos theres no room for the wee bracket things

for those who have the nomad pod with halfords autogauge's, do you use the bracket to secure the gauge in the holder? I cant seem to get the bracket to fit into the pod but the gauge seems to fit snug enough without it. Just dont want the gauge falling out.

i just fitted mine last night, and as with the others, i didnt need the bracket.

I used the screw at the top for mine. it holds the top in place fine, and the sponge from the oem pillar helps hold the bottom in place, but as theres nothing in the middle, it does move a little bit when pushed. Its a really stupid mounting system i think - they should of made better use of the oem clips

same here not used the bracket

mark when you fancy giving me a hand then . mine will be caome antique by the time i get it on :)

already had the oil temp sensor fitted (new sump nut one from merlin, ) so just needs wiring up now

also can the egr delete pipe be fitted on std boost pipes or i have the top two sfs hoses , but unsure if i can fit these without the two intercooler hoses

cheers

drilled a yellow clip at the top and screwed it into that holds well not moved yet!

Just fitted mine (double pod) and found this worked too. Line up the pillar exactly where u want it, then with a drill bit smaller than the screw (obviously !) drill a small hole through the yellow clip. Then u can screw straight into this hole. Must admit, was a bit awkward getting the screw into the hole i had just drilled.

Oh yeh i also used a longer screw (longer by about 1cm) as the one supplied would only just bite in the hole and just pulled out.

Hope that all made sense !?

Havn't fitted the gauges yet so may need some velcro aswell to help with the weight but feels pretty sturdy with just the screw. :funk:

I've also done this just last week. Drilled a very small hole on the yellow clip (3mm) and the screw goes in very tight. Its all very sturdy.

I used a big tie-wrap around each of my gauges pushed right upto the back of the pods and I used the self tapper into the yellow clip method for fixing. Both work fine.

Does anyone have any pics of this process as tbh im confused.com!

Ive purchased one aswell and im looking at how to get the original off in the first place!!:wtf:
