Chrome Dial Rings (Thanks to Red_October)

After

Simply stuck on with a bit of normal modelling glue so they can be peeled off easily when needed.

Untitled-1copy-20.jpg

That's fairly epic, however for once I'm totally dry and I've only managed 350 Miles...
Dying to service the beast but I can't till the weather clears, not going to be lying on the ground in these tempretures, hopefully after a service it'll be a bit better again, i'll be changing my fuel filter as well this time so here's hoping the weather is better on Saturday...
Have you managed to get yours done yet?

Nice car, keep up the good work.
Am i right in saying you have a H4 Hid kit fitted? (hi/lo)

Thanks, yeah the HID kit I have in is the Hi/Lo kit, the bulbs have a soliniod on them that pull them back to the full beam position, so the one bulb is both dipped and high beam.
I have a week off work next week so I'm going to spend some time cleaning the car and maybe give it a wee polish again. I'm going to collect front anti roll bar bushes on Friday afternoon so they will be fitted next week too when the car gets serviced.

if you look in the mk4 section i have put up a post on the problem i am having.

I cant seem to get the high beam to work when the dipped beams are on....but when the dipped beam is off they flash.....so that makes me think that when you flash the main beams it is in fact just flashing the dipped beam.....help!

have a look at my thread see if that makes any sense to you!

Thanks.....and sorry for the hi-jack!

Ask ScottHmk4 what he done to his to get them to work properly...
He changed from a single headlamp unit to a twin headlight set up.

Bought two new lenses from ebay recently...
A Sigma 28-300mm £92 delivered.
And one of those "ebay special" wide angle converter things that screw into the end of your normal lens... £12 delivered.

Went out the other night and had a wonder round the Falkirk Wheel, 1st outing for the Sigma lens, really pleased with the results.
Then tonight went for a gander round Eurocentral alongside the A8 and picked up the other half from work, a bio-diesel plant, another good place to try the wide angle converter.
