LCR or Ibiza Bocanegra

i just think it creates a lazy drive admitable i havent driven a dsg and i know it can shift quicker than i can with the normal clutch and gearstick, but surely its taking the fun out of driving driving with a clutch is part of the skill of driving where as i can imagine the dsg is doing it all for you making a stall completly non existant.
i do intent to try the bocanegra or new cupra out at some point so i can have a real oppinion of it.

TBH i have been a manual fan all my life and when I test drove the boca it felt very wierd not being able to change gears but after five minutes I must admit it felt really good and if like me you live in the city the DSG box is a God send as with all the traffic here the leg does get very tired of depressing the clutch all the time.

Computer games are fun :) I'm sure the manual mode on country lanes will also be fun. When I drove the FR it was a blast. Also I couldn't believe how smooth the gear box is. You can hardly feel it change gear. When you change down at speed it will blip the engine for you an everything. Clever stuff!

I do a long drive to work and often the traffic will be a nightmare so if it does turn my commute to a lazy drive i'm all for it! Especially with cruise control ;)

Myself, I'd want the racing brakes, purely because I have the Brembos on the LCR now, and can't fathom putting twin-pots on 'performance' cars. The convenience pack looks good too, and I'd want the bluetooth functionality too. The local garage has an FR that I can go test drive on my own (ie they don't send a salesman with you) but I can't decide whether it's worth swapping the LCR out for an Ibiza. I like larger cars too, but the Boca looks (and sounds) really smart

who have you been dealing with ?

Single pots? Are you sure about that? I admit that I don't know that much about other car's brakes, but I thought they were all at least two pistons per side (per side that has pistons anyway that is)

AP-Racing = UK Brembo, so it's all good (AP owned by Brembo in case you didn't know). I'd have NO problem with boasting AP callipers at all, though I would rather have the Brembo name

Twin-pots as standard, don't know if the upgrades are also twin-pots or not

Ibiza has single piston calipers as standard and the AP Racing brake upgrade are four pots.

Not 100% on the MK2 Leon Cupra I just thought they used the same brakes as the MK5 R32 which I thought were twin pots like the Mk4 R32.

Most car brakes are single piston, the piston comes out and the caliper slides across pulling the outer pad into the disc.
