What a difference, this is a must mod. Car feels enjoyable to drive instead of an effort. If anyone is planning on fitting a quickshift kit I would advise buying a claw puller as it's hard to seperated the linkage from the gearbox.

I bought both units, the shorter throw and shorter side to side, both were approx 65 from forge. As the lady said to me on the phone just the shorter throw is needed, still I bought both anyway, I have both units set to half reduction and it feels well placed in all gears. Very pleased, you don't need a claw puller but I really recomend that aswell so you don't damage the gearbox when changing units over.

Na not at the mo, handling is my new area though. s3 upper and lower struts should arrive 2moz so gonna put those on at weekend

lee how do you make one then save £50 im all ears :D

Kuparking how much for the struts and where did you get them mate ?

Ye slightly dani , hasn't done alot to sort it however I have found out that gear crunch can be caused by the selector( the part you need to be careful of when removing the old linkage) any further damage will cost you hundreds. That's why I used the puller.

does the quichshifter take away the notchiness of the box thats inherent on our boxes.

It's a mod I've always been keen on but never got round to doing.

There is a vag specialist close to me so I order my parts through him, good mech, hard to come by these days. Had my car all day trying to find out why I was getting crunch sometimes and asked him to check my alignment and stuff before I fitted the quickshift. He said it could be the selector . Didn't charge me a penny for him to have a look. Some mechs would have charged I reakon. I havnt asked wot the cost will be mate as he makes no profit on the parts so whatever he gets them for From vag suppliers he sells them to me for. From this site I think it's £20 for lower and around £60 for upper

Ye sheff boy, mine is set at 50% . when u feel that notch that's where gear is engaged now. Gives you a clue as to how short the throw is when you next take yours for a spin
