Any one used a Secondary Air System Blanking Plate?

Its only if you've removed your SAI system otherwise its no use at all.

Secondary Air Injection

its the secondary air the black round thing under the inlet mani, the hose that go's into the air filter comes from it, they brake and make loud noises so some of us have removed them.

Dave, i have the blank sitting in the garage, i made my own blanking "thing" when i first took it off, i looked at the blank and couldn't see where it went, do you need to remove all the fittings down to the head, then fit the blank, thinking that it is but seeing as you here i thought i would ask.

This can be fitted you have replaced the airbox with an induction kit.
When I put me CDA kit on, there was no where for the pipe which fit's onto the bottom of the standard air box.

I fitted a small filter on, but this kept logging a fault code. There wasn't enough air going through.
So I have taken the filter off, and replaced with a length of blue aluminium pipe and left it opened ended.
No fault codes logged, and no issues.

Back to the plate, I enquired about it to Forge, but they couldn't guarantee this would stop any fault codes.

It goes on the lower front half of the engine. I suppose it might make it quicker in that you remove a kg or so of weight but otherwise I don't think you get any performance increases

The biggest benefit is it being a VERY cheap alternative to the £300 SAI which is prone to failing.

You do but you still get the "Inccorect flow detected" code its thought the ecu does some sort of test and see's a problem and logs the code, my engine light comes on every month or so, i just clear it.

It goes on the lower front half of the engine.

The plate actually replaces a valve which is bolted to the side of the cylinder head. This is where the secondary air is injected into exhaust port #4 (before the port leaves the head at the rear)
