I've just bought the small centre sunvisor that fits behind the rear view mirror for my Cupra. These were fitted as standard on some Mk4 Ibizas. What I want to know is which way round it is supposed to fit; does it fold down towards the rear view mirror, or does it fold down towards the windscreen? Hopefully someone who had one fitted as standard from the factory can answer this; opinion seems to vary with people that have retrofitted one.

Thanks,
Nick

Mine folds the same way as the rest of the visors....

w8 light doesnt come in the right colour unfortuantely :( unless your willing to spray it to match, but some careful taping will be needed so as not to paint over the icons that light up.

Also to add, I went to my local dealer for this very part last Monday and they told me that the centre sun visor is now a discontinued item. The guy told me check ebay lol. I'll be going to a VW dealer and asking for the Mk4 Golf item which is exactly the same as Damien suggested in another thread ;)

I got mine through David at Sere Motors on 25th Jan (they have a forum in the Seat dealers section on here). There was no UK stock and it had to be sent from Spain, but it only took a few days to turn up. Part number is S6X0858555DB41 'sun visor' for the black version. Bargain at £3.58. It came with the fixing screw. (I haven't tried fitting it yet, but apparently using too long a screw ends up denting the roof!).

Part no for the grey one is
6x0858555dy20 grey sun visor

I could not get the two prongs through head lining. So cu them off. The screw pulls the finned section in no probs. it sits flush and doesn't move.

I never checked if mine actually had one factory fitted!!!!
i should try pressing around or folding stuff to realize what is actually installed

I put mine on so that you could not see the exposed screwhead, i.e. swinging away from the windscreen.
