everything else looks right; but that steering wheel is a bit strange, possibilities:
a.) Had a crash, airbag gone off and damaged wheel, new wheel sourced.
b.) Wheel wore like they all do, and so was changed (but at 22k..shouldn't have worn that much)
c.) Previous owner didn't like R wheel...not really a possibility is it?!
I don't get very good milage per tank on mine but i travel in traffic most of the time so always stopping and starting. I get on average 260 - 280 miles per tank at about £60 per tank.
That works out at around 23 - 25 MPG.
I reckon the whole steering column has been replaced - it looks to be running a standard key rather than a flippy job... pretty sure they are standard on the Rs, anyone confirm this?

That's similar to me in traffic. It all depends on driving style though. If you are heavy on the throttle and brakes you will get less. On a good long Sunday run you can get 38mpg but it's not designed for that!
I recently drove up to yorkshire from wiltshire - about 220 miles and managed to average 42mpg... that was taking it very steady - between 55-65 and a little bit of slipstreaming behind lorries here n there.... its pretty impressive for a 1.8 turbo!!
That's impressive. It definitely helps doing some slipstreaming. At this time of year it makes a right mess of your car though with all the rubbish getting thrown up!
ive seen 41.6 on a long run on the motor way an at about 85/90 on a private runday id expect 35-37mpg an around town i get around 20mpg but i only do very short trips(5 mile)
A good tip is to lift off going down hills I find. If you check the instant mpg it goes to --.- and no petrol used at all. Lifting off a bit before junctions and roundabouts helps too.

Yeah, it does make quite a noticeable difference! Although I've noticed a few lorry drivers don't like you doing it and keep moving over halfway into the hard shoulder or slowing down to try and make you overtake them!! - Definitely agree with the dirty car comment! Almost pointless cleaning it at the moment anyway!

Yeah it does help if you need to slow down like you said before junctions etc, although I'm pessimistic about any gains when going downhill - I reckon it's more economical to just freewheel (at a few hundred mpg usually), as if you leave it in gear, the car slows through engine braking, and you then obviously have to use some more juice to re-gain this lost speed!
Still find it ironic how we are on a forum for performance cars talking about hyper-miling techniques!! haha, mind you, every little helps when petrol is at £1.15 a litre!
