by running that way round dave, what benefit do you notice on oem way?

I'm not sure I notice any James. I know someone with well over 400bhp on a 1.8T who always uses an OEM valve. :)

It just seems logical to me that the boost pressure should act against the piston, rather than than the side of the piston. It should make for a fractionally better response. :)

My LC is standard other than a great big jetex filter, and that doesn't sound gay. Chnage gear at around 4.5-5k and it sounds rather good :D

Oh, and i have mine fitted in reverse too

reversed mine today, does the little chirp thing, but i posted a thread on intermittant whoosing while on light throttle, this seems to have gone since reversing. holds revs ok and doesnt seem much different to me

Yeah I'm thinkin bout that too. Just don't know whether to think it can be damaging to the turbo

so the moral of the story is basically put it in same way as standard? and if your wantin the loud woosh get a splitter valve?

no and no :)

Loads of us run the dv's reversed and some like mine are very loud :D . You can here the 007 on my rr video and that's over the very noisy fans.

Split-r valves are often very hard to set up, apparently.

My 007p was recently reversed and there is a considerably loud chirp when you let off the throttle. Not to my liking so will be changing it back to normal tomorrow. My boost gauge didnt work either, not sure why as it's T'd into the fpr.
