hello bigg i have signed up for the group buy for the dpf delete have you had any problems since all your sensors have been fitted mate

also what type of 0 to 60 times are we talking if you haven't tested it because of the weather. what would you reckon and would you say it is defiantly worth going for

Whats this group buy DPF Delete????

I want this too

How is the car now, does it feel like its still poorley lol or do you think that has fixed it. Tempted by the group buy but really worried if mine doesnt start and needs taking back to JBS its gona be a pricey recovery job.

Nah the car is perfect mate, i had a lengthy convo with a seat master tech, and he said it's a safety paramete on the car to protect the engine. He said the car won't start if the engine is reeeeally low, and he said the only way you can start it is if you open the bonnet then close it. That tricks the car into thinking you have topped up the oil and it'll travel 50 miles before it recalcualtes it oil level! Car is running amazing gave it a spirited drive after oil change and is going better than ever!!!!:)

Good thanks for the update :) I think ill add my name to the list!

glad to hear everything is running sweet now!

to be honest i am seriously thinking of jumping on the group buy. but i have a couple of issues. first being that it is not my car, it belongs to the company that i work for. second of all im just worried about issues. third, its a lot of money to put in to a car that is not mine.

but i want the POWER!!! ha

If it's not your car just get it mapped witht the DPF in place. Should get over 200hp.

Good point nath, but I want to change the exhaust exit pipes as well so they are twin exiting either side of the car. So if I was to go for a remap and the exhaust I want, it would cost me the same as the dpf delete with the group discount.

What would be the best way to preserve the clutch?

I dont actually know the answer to that question with a diesel.

Dont boot it below 2000RPM, infact try not to below 2300.

So far (touch wood) My clutch is grand.

DPF remap with 1900miles on clock. Currently on 9000miles.

I do get a bit of fly wheel judder, but this is from cold and gunning it at low RPM

I am looking for a dpf delete with custom map, although i allready havea custom map taking it to 193bhp i would like the dpf done. is there anyone in the North East that can carry out such a task?

I have had the dpf light on once and so i blown it out running the car at 50mph in 5th for 10mins but i think it might be batter getting the mod done now.

hey just to be a complete retard and all, but are you all talking about PD engines, cos im getting a CR in Oct. and just curious whether I can De-Dpf that aswell?

I believe the DPF deletion has only been done to PD models so far. The reason is that the CR engines put out less soot anyway so they have fewer problems with their DPFs. From what I've read, the main motivation for DPF deletion is to prevent any expensive regen/replacement costs if and when the DPF gets blocked up. The performance gains are a nice side-effect.

I guess eventually we'll start seeing DPF deletion for CR models for performance reasons but I haven't heard of any DPF problems with CR cars yet, so the regen/replacement fear isn't the same driver that it is for the PD DPFs.

EDIT - ^^^^^^^ beat me to it

well thats a shame as obviously the idiot in me just wants the extra powwweeerrrr!!!!

anyone know of anyone working on it?

Ill just get a revo in the time being.

As many peeps on here know, i have had my fair share of problems with my dpf delete, from egt and lamda sensors to blowing 8 month old exhausts! Well for the last few days i have been noticing a rattle coming inside the cabin of the car when idling in neutral with the door and windows shut, like something was loose. I have had a few looks under the bonnet and nothing, and to be honest outside could not hear the noise either. Today it was the final straw, i put the car over the garage pit, and after a few minutes of looking at the exhaust i noticed up the downpipe towards the back of the engine bay, there was a loose egt sensor in my brand new exhaust, which was just hanging in thin air hitting between the exhaust and the heatshield! Does know one have any pride in there work anymore!!!!!
Reattached it and took her out for a 10 mile drive, thankfully the sensor isn't damaged, but if it had been i was ready to shove it down the installers throat!!!! As sensors have cost me a fortune!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![:@][:@][:@][:@]

Rant over, just feel let down and dissapointed at the workmanship:wtf:
