FWIW, the only differences I notice between my 16x40 summer wheels and the 185x14x60's I'm running for winter are less ultimate grip and better soaking up of potholes/speed humps etc. The suspension still gives me an almighty creak and thump through the shell if I hit a lot of the humps here at much more than, ooooh, 10mph. My choice in winter wheels is ex-Golf P-Slots (without the ridiculously valuable 'Pirelli' centres!)

lenso's (aka fake splits) are a pile of sh!t

i think the g60's look ace, just need spacers on the back (search on ebay "4x100 spacers" £57.50 incl. delivery = BARGAIN) and you'll have them looking ace IMO!

Mmm I suppose its always personal preference just not keen on the G60s on the mk2.
Its funny because when I had the mk2 golf i always wanted a set of G60 wheels but now I have some they just are not ticking the boxes for me.

Ideally i want the white ronal wheels but just cant find any.

yeah true, but try and make up some "wooden spacers" just to show you how it will sit with them on (DO NOT RUN WITH THEM ON lol)

i made my mate some at the wood work facilities at uni, made him love his wheels he had

i wouldn't get lenso's, as they look tacky (and you can easily tell they are fake splits)
my opinion of course

Yeah but concidering budget (always hate spending to much on cosmetics)

What i might do is pinch a wheel off him fit it and see which i like the look of best.

And LOL @ wooden spacers for a drive around the block snap wheels off = carnage
