CooperC

Hi all :). I was planning to put a cupra R backbox on my cupra tdi but will it be a straight fit or will it need modifiying to make it? Can anyone help? :help:

You'll need a reducer because the cupra r exhaust bore is larger than the tdi one and it wont fit into the hole in your bumper perfectly as the cupra r tip is slightly more off set.

ok m8 cheers... so do you rekon its worth doing or shall i just keep me standard 1 on?

The choice is entirely your own mate, i did it but it looked a little bit rubbish.

no way how cum mate? does it not sit right in the hole or sumet?

Right out and at an upward angle, but in order to make it fit and not bang on the bumper it also had to be tilted.

have you got any pictures on how it looked? because im thinking of getting this exhaust on my 1.6 sx :/ so need to know if its a good idea :D

ive got a R tip that im going to get welded onto the tdi backbox that should be just as easy if you take it to a Custom Exhuast place and should fit tidy in the hole.
Get yours cut off the backbox and do the same
