People - we have an answer to my problems. Gotta love vag-com!
As it went earlier, my car wouldn't start 3 or 4 times en route to my mates who was going to scan it using vag-com..
So it started up eventually, and the EPC light came up on the display, bingo, just what I wanted! Got the car round to my mates with it running hesitantly, and sure thing the scan very quickly revealed a fault, engine speed sensor has gone awol.
Mate (who works for a local independent
garage) is ordering one tomorrow to be fitted at his
garage next week. Then it should be sweet again!
p.s we used today to get two 4th gear runs using my recently installed FMIC and used vag-com to record the intake temps. Money well spent - sambryant you will be happy about this - temps we're MUCH lower than the run we did before fitting the fmic.. At some point on the old fmic's it would reach 35 degrees, but now we're in the low 20's!! QUALITY.
Really happy the fmic is doing it's job and very effectively reducing my intake temps. No wonder the car pulls harder and feels much quicker from 3rd/4th onwards!
