The filter is just behind the light so i doubt it will pick up water. I think the extension thats available takes the intake lower down.
As for noise I love it. Plenty of sucking in air & a nice whoosh when it dumps off.

x2 on the fuel like i reckon ive lost 2 mpg. kev what did you use for a cold air feed mate?

Alright mate. I just used a piece of exhaust extraction pipe we had lying at work. I have tried it with and without but seems more responsive with.
My MPG is just the same but you are more tempted to drive harder for the noise:)

I put a 76mm Cold air feed to mine, and as I was pulling it through it dawned on me, "if I can pull this pipe through this gap, then surely the air would still get to the same place without having to also go through ducting"

Isn't this the case guy's???

Please prove me I'm wrong, this would then make my £6 something for a length of ducting viable lol.

P.S. I never checked before, but now with the ducting my filter get's slightly wet when it rain's. It was a bit of a PITA to fit, so don't want to pull it out to check if it used to get wet before.

I found the neuspeed p flo from an american supplier at a real good price, but they are not sure about our cupra's (they don't have them in the U.S.), the p flo I've seen fits the mk V golf GTI, mk V jetta, 8P Audi A3, mk II Audi TT all 2.0 T FSI. Doe's anyone know if this will fit our K04 cupra's or is it for K03 motors only?

You want the one that fits the GTI Edition 30 as it uses the same turbo as the Cupra (k04) and has the take off pipe on it for the DV. The standard GTI uses the smaller k03 turnbo.
