Another small update, a box from Germany has just arrived.

Stubby drivers mirror. Just need to spray the casing gloss black to match the other side.

Why the C4 aerial?? Is it purely a matter of preference or is it any better than others??

Well the standard one is the length of my forearm and this is smaller than my little finger. It fits perfectly, both with the screw and on the base (Honda ones leave a small gap between the aerial and the base) and because its rubber it matches the base perfectly and looks more factory than those awful metal 'beesting' ones on eBay. Though you do lose some radio reception.

A day of mixed fortunes today, got in my car to go to work this morning and found that for the 2nd time in about 3 months, someone had taken a disliking to one of my cars. Given the passenger side wing mirror (which was on the pavement side) a good hard bash. Thankfully only the glass was cracked this time, and the rest of the mirror is fine.

I also had the EPC light come on, so I've ordered a code reader to find out what it is until I can get a netbook and vagcom.
On the flip side, my xcarlink arrived this morning and is now all wired up, just got to test it once I find my iPod.

Cupra, so its heated, bumps the price up stupidly. Might see if I can get the blue tinted Lupo glass thats heated. Look a bit different.

Another box turned up today.

Once I get paid at the end of the month I'll order up some winter tyres and I can fit these bad boys.

Had them sitting in the workshop since January so its about time I fitted them. Nice plain easy to clean face and in need of a refurb so perfect to run as winters.

Couple of updates.
Swapped the interior over with my 1.4
Did the front badge in carbon fibre vinyl
Replaced the rear wiper with a Mk5 Golf one

This is why I replaced the wiper rather than putting a blank in. I use it too much.

nice cupra mate, ive just bought one in the same colour 3 weeks ago!
im loving it at the moment lol, its had the rear wiper removed but that mk5 golf one looks pretty smart, was it easy to fit and did you just have to buy the arm for it?
ill get some pics up of mine eventually lol
