afternoon fellas!

My temp gauge has never actually sat right on 90c from having the car. The same thing happened in my old octy and i sorted it but i'm not sure if this is a fault or it's where the needle is supposed to sit!

I've attached a picture so you can all see, any thought are welcome

Mine sits at 90 degrees so I'd say its the temp sensor or the gauge. You can use vag com to give you an accurate reading of the temperature (assuming its not faulty) to compare with the gauge

Mine's never sat bang on 90 either and i've had the car from new. Mine sits a tiny bit closer to it that yours but never on it. Come winter it sits even further away from it. Never had a problem and done 73k in 3 years.

mine is the same takes an age to get there,my old cupra r would be blowing hot air after 1 mile

Mine sits bang on 90 after about 4miles

I thought that should be the case, it does get a little closer than that but never sits right on it. When I had the problem on my Octy it gave really bad MPG so was very obvious, I'm not sure with this though as it currently gives around 42mpg according to the computer (is that low or average?)

Really depends on the type of driving you do. If you drive it like an old granny you could get up to 54mpg which i've seen, even through town. But thats boring. If you drive it normally, the occasional foot to the floor you'd see 42mpg. But if you drive it flat out all the time it'll go low!

Also depends where you drive it. through town obviously wont produce massive amounts of mpg, especially stuck in traffic. extra urban i.e motorways you could see up to 54mpg, just depends how you drive it really.

Since i've owned the car February this year, my average mpg over all the trips i think is 41.7mpg. I know its around that mark. Not sure if its exactly that. Most of my driving is around town, short trips. i hit morning traffic and home time traffic, but i also drive it through the middle of the day when there's not that much.
